This ½ day in-person regional workshop is designed for program directors, managers, and leaders in organizations.  It will provide an overview to the TCOM framework and outline the benefits of a shared vision to meet internal and external demands and present an opportunity to identify and discuss strategies to more effectively grow management expertise.  The CANS/ANSA will also be discussed as a key strategy in TCOM.

Learning Objectives:

Following the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the philosophy Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) and how it guides the development of a shared vision for children, families, providers and systems and lead to better outcomes.
  • Describe the role of collaboration and the development of a shared vision in effective management of human services systems
  • Understand how the CANS/ANSA can be used to support mental health assessments and decision making at all levels of the system.
  • Describe the action levels of the CANS/ANSA rating scales.

This ½ day in-person regional workshop provides a framework for trainers and supervisors to support use of TCOM and the CANS/ANSA in clinical practice.  Important considerations regarding the clinician’s level of development and integrating CANS/ANSA information in working with adults, children, youth and families are addressed.  

Learning Objectives:

  • Articulate how the Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) provides a framework for collaboration and developing a shared vision for adults, children, families, providers and systems.
  • Identify strategies to develop practice skills and competencies for clinicians in using the CANS/ANSA.
  • Describe how the CANS/ANSA can support the clinician’s professional development through understanding the needs and strengths of children/youth and families.
  • Implement TCOM principles in clinical supervision and continuous quality improvement efforts including:  collaboration, transparency, use of data to inform decision-making.

The training is also intended to support the development of an evidence-based, collaborative planning process with individuals (children, youth and/or adults) their families, and other stakeholders.

  • Apply the 6 Key Principles of TCOM to your work
  • How TCOM applies to working models & rules (Wraparound, PCRP, TAC)
