Recovery Support Peer Specialist Training
The Texas Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS) Training is a 46-hour advanced course approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). It is designed for individuals with lived experience in substance use recovery who have completed the Core Training and are ready to pursue state certification. This track-specific training develops specialized skills for supporting others navigating addiction and substance use recovery, including topics such as recovery management, harm reduction, and community-based support. Completion of this training is required to become a state-certified Recovery Support Peer Specialist in Texas.
