Peer Specialist Core Training Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Peer Specialist Core Training Voucher, you must meet the following criteria:

You must have registered for Peer Specialist Core Training with one of our partner organizations.

You must not hold a full or initial MHPS, RSPS, PSS, or CFP certification.

RSPS & MHPS Supplemental Training Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a RSPS or MHPS Supplemental Training Voucher, you must meet the following criteria:

You must have completed the Peer Specialist Core Training and have a copy of your certificate of completion.

You must not hold a full or initial MHPS, RSPS, PSS, or CFP certification.

You are not eligible for certification training vouchers if:

You have already completed the Core training, or

You have already completed both the Core training and supplemental training for either MHPS or RSPS.

How to Apply

You must have registered for Training with one of our partner organizations.

When registering with the training entity partner, request a PeerHubTX training voucher. The training entity will let you know if they have vouchers available and, if so, provide you with a voucher code needed to access the application below.

If you are applying for an RSPS or MHPS Supplemental Training Voucher, please ensure that you have completed the Peer Specialist Core Training and have a digital copy of your certificate of completion.

Fill out the online application using the code provided by your training entity.

Wait for PeerHubTX to review your application and notify you of the outcome. Applications can take up to 5 business days to review.

PeerHubTX will notify you and your selected training entity if your application is approved. You can then complete training with voucher funds already applied toward the cost of training.

Texas Peer Specialist Self-Assessment and Orientation

I have reviewed the self-assessment and orientation for Texas Peer Specialists and have a signed copy of the attestation of completion.

Texas Peer Specialist Certification Background Requirements(Required)

If you are interested in obtaining a Texas Peer Specialist Certification, we recommend reviewing Texas Certification Board’s background requirements and how they could effect your ability to obtain full certification.

Certification Requirements(Required)

PeerHubTX Training Vouchers are only eligible to students seeking to obtain their first Texas peer certification. PeerHubTX will verify applicants certification history through the Texas Certification Board when reviewing an application for a training voucher.

I confirm that I do not currently hold an active Peer Specialist or Family Partner certification.

Completion of Core Training(Required)

PeerHubTX will not process or approve any applications for individuals who have not completed the Peer Specialist Core training. You will need to upload a copy of you certificate of completion for Peer Specialist Core training within this application.
